this is not so much an Olympic venue as a vast prison camp. Wire fencing is everywhere, cordoning off huge areas; as journalists, walking appears to be out of the question as we are expected to take the official buses to every venue. In China, there is no room for operating outside the official rulebook and, if they say you are on a bus, you are on a bus.
