  • Bless them ! Mobile phone's lights, lol
I have to admit I'm old fashioned in this sense, and stick to my lighter :0)

  • Photo doesn't do the event justice - 500 people at a film screening all lighting a candle (ok a mobile phone!) in solidarity with other human rights activists around the world. Good stuff.

The Co-operative's thoughts:

The Co-operative held a big event in Manchester to mark Human Rights Day and a year of campaigning with Amnesty International. Representatives from Amnesty International, Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture and The Co-operative's Social Goals team, hundreds of members and staff from The Co-operative and members of the public joined in solidarity to 'Fire up'.
