On 19th June 2011 I went to the Umbrella Parade in London to show my support for the protection of refugees and asylum seekers. It was a great event, and our bright umbrellas and drummers attracted a lot of attention! We ended up on the South Bank at a festival for Refugee Week - wish we could have more celebrations like that, celebrating the wonderful contribution of refugees to our society.

Wow! I browsed all the photos, and I guess it was a success! Albeit the preparation was equated to payday loans, it was worth it! Too bad I did not witness the event live. Oh well, I hope next time I could participate in the umbrella parade activity! :)
