We can be the change we wish to see in the world
Help people realise that what is happening in Burma is important for our welfare in the UK, our freedoms are being taken away and we need to make a stand to what we think democracy is.

Aung San Suu Kyi is the living proof that a single human being has the potential to make a positive difference & inspire millions throughout the world. Thanks AI for sharing her message!
A remarkable woman and a great inspiration.
I admire her and am inspired by her daily.

Her bravery is without question, her serenity and intelligence are inspirational.
Aung San Suu Kyi speaks for us all in Amnesty when she wishes there was no further need for our organisation...but until that day we will strive to ensure that no prisoner of conscience is ever forgotten. In Carlisle (UK) a daily candle is lit to remind people that Amnesty International never sleeps, never flags and never forgets those whose Human Rights have been denied. We are the voice of those forbidden to speak. We are the ever present reminder to regimes that their deeds are noticed and above all, we never cease to care deeply and with compassion, for all those imprisoned for their belief that the world could and should be better.
Bother! it accepted the rating after only clicking one star - I meant to click five.
I hope I would have the courage to live up to Aung San Suu Kyi is similar circumstances.
