What people are saying about Syria

  • The following interactive map via Qatar is better than the AIUSA version. So large tracts of Syria are free from murder and mayhem with most deaths in 'loyal' provinces caused through terror bombings by religious fanatics. The non-cohesive 'ganged-up' FSA are also murdering most of their prisoners. There is no pan-Syrian rebellion, that's just a myth. It was obviously not true right from the very first protests.

  • i have visited syria many times in the last 30yrs and always found the ordinary people welcome you but the people with money are the parasites of that counrty who have kept thier positions through fear , bribary and .theft and coruption.i urge anybody who is doing business with these murderers to stop now.i watch the chanellm4 documentary and can honestly with hand on my heart this is nothing to what is happening right now . also syria has for 40yrs. been a hell hole for freedom of speach. god bless are muslim brothers and sisters and remember those who have died are in paradise. do not let there deaths be in vain, keep the fight going strong. god bless you all. mazza31

  • I'm not afraid!! so we should not be as with my cases of oppression it take thousand to die to make this right not to be afraid to be heard by those who make us afraid to change, to have the freedom to change, it is again absolute power corrupts absolutely. I hope that Arab countries will hear that your people are hurting, you are hurting and killing them, I hope that change that have be made in Tunisia, Egypt and other Arab countries time is for change, the time is now.

The right to development is the measure of the respect of all other human rights. That should be our aim: a situation in which all individuals are enabled to maximize their potential, and to contribute to the evolution of society as a whole.

    Kofi Annan, United Nations Secretary-General
