I would like to know why people in the Middle East are not being allowed to enjoy to express their political views to effect a change in the runfair and corrupt ruling of their leaders. The EU must step up action in these countries if they truly care about spreading democracy in the world.
I had the privilege of being able to see 'Amina', a film shot in Yemen last evening at the HRAC. The expert guest speakers pointed out afterwards that the authorities of Yemen were fully supportive of Womens rights groups campaigning for change in situations like these - the biggest problem would seem to be spreading a communication network outwards into rural areas

At least it seems that the courts and parts of government are trying to prevent this from happening to more young girls.
