If communication is blocked by ever increasing cycles of fear the manifold problems confronting humanity today can't be solved. Both China and Europe know that however divergent political opinions may be interpreted, sustained confrontation will eventually result in the destruction of both peoples, whereas mediation should offer the greatest chance to achieve lasting results, beneficial not just for China's great, good and poor, but also for the inhabitants of the rest of the world.

Like Malaysia, anyone who voice against the government is a threat to Internal Security and will be imprisoned. The beauty of China is the people, but not the government.
